In this workshop, you will learn a variety of techniques such as image transfer, simple screen printing, asemic text, and creative stitches to make personal narrative books, scrolls, and folios that express your unique artistic vision. Transform traditional materials into expressive, tactile storytelling objects that reflect your creative voice.
Participants will develop and further skills in mixed media construction, material selection, and personal storytelling through visual art. No prior experience necessary—just bring your creativity and willingness to experiment.

As an award winning textile artist, Susan lives on Pender Island BC, the traditional lands of the W̱SÁNEĆ and Tsawout peoples.
She has always been excited by applying layers of dyes and paints to achieve interesting pattern and texture to the surface of fabric, and she has been creating both contemporary wall and dimensional work since the early 1990’s. Rooted in her family's needlework traditions, her creations have evolved from functional to pioneering, embodying experimentation, exploration, and the essence of experience.
