Are you interested in becoming an instructor at MISSA? In early fall the MISSA Board of Directors starts planning the workshop program for the following summer to be able to have the new classes posted to the website in January of the new year. To help build excitement about your workshop, social media announcements will be made as instructor contracts are signed.

MISSA 2024 Summer Arts Program: July 12 – 26 (Please note new dates)

Please note that the MISSA Summer Arts Program has moved from its long time location in Metchosin, BC and now takes place on the beautiful Shawnigan Lake School campus, in Shawnigan Lake, B.C.

Teaching contracts are offered on a per-workshop basis and are not an assurance of year-to-year teaching. Workshop proposals must be submitted each year and are the first step to being accepted. If your proposal is accepted, you will be asked to complete a more detailed workshop form. It is suggested that instructors who are new to MISSA start with a two-day proposal, but depending on the complexity of the workshop and/or the distance needed to travel, an initial 5-day proposal is completely acceptable. Instructors receive an hourly teaching fee (6 hrs/day) and all meals and accommodations are covered. Economy travel is covered for out of town instructors and reimbursement of supplies used for teaching are to be discussed ahead of time with MISSA.
