July 20-24
This is a 5-day workshop. All classes run 9 – 4 pm each day with lunch included from 12 – 1 pm.
Students will explore a wide variety of print making methods using a gel-plate and acrylic paint. These prints will be used for several collage techniques. The collages will illustrate found and original poems that will be used to make hand-bound books. Mono-printing with a gel-plate is a medium that provides instant and delightful results, and require no previous experience. Anyone with prior knowledge will no doubt discover new techniques. The prints inspire the participant to create abstract and representational images. Because the medium provides a large collection of prints quickly, this workshop will provide the artist with limitless options for how to use the prints in projects. Making books is just one of the great ways because they are smaller than big works and their very nature provides the viewer with delight anew, each time they are opened.
Price: $915
This price includes: tuition, daily lunch, material fees (if required), any applicable taxes and is listed in Canadian Dollars.
