Mentored Clay Residency

Mentored Clay Residency

What is a residency?
A time for you to ‘get away’ from your normal ‘world’ and distractions and focus on moving closer to your vision with the help of a mentor in a supportive and creative environment.
More details about the residency?
The residency is not about learning specific skills (although that could be a part); it is mainly about understanding where you are and gaining vision and insight as well as understanding the resources and next steps that will get you closer to your desired vision/direction. A time to separate yourself from the normal distractions and focus on your own artwork.

What is the format?
Each Resident will meet with me for 40 minutes daily to discuss where you are and where you want to be. We will agree on a direction that you will explore for the next 24 hours. We will then review that work and repeat the process.

  • Course Level: Intermediate and Advanced

CONNER BURNS

Conner Burns is a studio artist in Natchez, Mississippi.

It was not the theatre or museums he visited during his youth - but the art that filled his childhood home that produced his feeling that ‘art is part of life rather than simply entertainment’.
