Making a Tea Set

Making a Tea Set

Tea for one workshop will move through all phases of creating a ‘set’; specifically a tea set. This includes a teapot, cup, saucer and tray. Wheel throwing, altering and adding slabs will be included in the demonstrations and discussions about aesthetics and process will be ongoing. Participants will learn the technical skills of throwing, altering and adding slabs to make the individual components and will also learn to assess the aesthetic decisions in making work that fits together and presents as a whole rather than a collection of different parts.

Conner will demonstrate and assist each person as needed during the workshop as we progress each day toward a completed tea for one set.
