Lorraine Douglas

Lorraine is a mixed media artist working primarily with paper. She is interested in exploring experimental processes and ideas in printmaking, book arts, calligraphy and water media. Since childhood she has been obsessed with writing and books and worked as a librarian. She is a graduate of the Universities of Manitoba and Alberta and received a Certificate in Visual Arts from VISA.

Lorraine has taught book arts internationally and her work has been exhibited across Canada and in Japan and is included in the Berlin Calligraphy Archive. She is a guest instructor at VISA and has taught and participated at MISSA.
