
This is a 2-day workshop. All classes run 9 – 4 pm each day with lunch included from 12 – 1 pm.
Explore colourful relief printmaking. In this comprehensive 2-day program,
participants will begin with engaging drawing exercises that will generate images for
translation into carved linoleum blocks for printing. The course covers essential
carving techniques, color registration for multi-block prints, and reduction prints, as
well as the appropriate use of papers and inks. This program is suitable for both
beginners and those at an intermediate level.

Pat Beaton is a visual artist working in printmaking, installation, and community-engaged public art. Central to her work is her exploration and questioning of the many ways that human and non-human life co-exists in urban, rural and wilderness environments of BC and Washington. Her art practice and teaching reflect her evolving understanding of the relationships we have to the land.
