ELEANOR HANNAN - Instructor at MISSA 2020

Eleanor Hannan received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg and has exhibited her artwork in group and solo shows across Canada, UK, and Europe for over forty years.
Her visual art practice has included drawing, painting, traditional fresco painting, sculptural figurative and portrait work in paper mache, costume design for theatre and dance, fiber arts and embroidery.

 

For many years she taught workshops for artists in Photoshop. Eleanor has worked with inmates in BC prisons, as well as teaching at many of the lower mainland universities in both visual arts and textiles/fashion design. Although retired from university teaching, she continues to teach arts in the community.

Eleanor has received grants from the Manitoba Arts Council and the BC Arts Council and has led hundreds of workshops and new ventures into speaking about art and the textile arts.

She is also a certified Yoga teacher with 20 years teaching experience and a Certifier Integrative Energy Healing Practitioner 3 years in practice.
