Cj Jilek is a studio artist and educator who has worked in the ceramic field for over 25 years.  She is a faculty member at Chaffey, Saddleback, Mt San Antonio Colleges and Chapman University in California.  Cj holds an MFA from Utah State University (2010) and a BFA from Southern Illinois University (1995). She enjoys traveling and has taught workshops in Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, as well as the US and has an extensive exhibition record.  

Her ceramics career has transformed from wood fire utilitarian wares to mid-range biomorphic sculpture. The natural environment of plants, insects, and creatures inspires Cj Jilek informing her uniquely animated forms and signature surfaces.
