Alison Watt is a painter and writer who lives on Protection Island near Nanaimo, BC. She works in water media, acrylic, and mixed media. Her subject material has evolved over the years from formal botanical watercolours, to acrylic still life, and abstracts.
In her recent work she has explored the loose, expressive potential of mixed media (acrylic, mark making, collage, resist, masking, and glazing) to move landscape into abstraction.
