Artist and instructor Gail Sibley, BFA, MA, balances art-making with creating content for her well-respected blog HowToPastel.com, her YouTube Channel and her online art membership IGNITE! at GailsibleyArtSchool.com. Gail loves to teach and combines this with her love of travel, offering workshops worldwide. This year she’s taught in Costa Rica and Italy.
Gail works in many media but her primary love is soft pastels, hooked as she is by their vibrancy, immediacy, and mark-making potential. Her subjects range from still life and figures to landscapes and abstracts.
Gail exhibits in national and international shows and has been honoured by media reviews and awards. Gail is a Signature Member with the Pastel Society of America and holds Master Signature status with Pastel Artists Canada.
Born and brought up in Jamaica, Gail now enjoys the temperate climate of Victoria, BC with her partner Cam.
