Students will create dramatic florals in this two day workshop, open to students with some watercolour experience. Mentor Marney-Rose Edge will work with students to encourage their own art and style as well as developing new skills. The program not only includes Marney-Rose’s working process, it incorporates the “Why”, “When” and “How” of watercolour with mini exercises and demonstrations, assessment, evaluation and reinforcement of student strengths in a nurturing, supportive environment. Marney-Rose is generous with sharing her extensive knowledge so be prepared to take advantage of this opportunity and have fun.

Marney-Rose Edgewas raised in New Zealand in the beautiful art deco seaside town of Napier. Born into a creative family; her dad was an avid amateur photographer, and her mum hand coloured photographs and dabbled in pastels. Since childhood, Marney-Rose has loved creating beautiful things; always fascinated with colour. She is a late bloomer venturing into painting in her forties but has an inexhaustible passion for it. A natural teacher, Marney-Rose has a following with her watercolour classes and workshops. Her paintings have won many awards locally and internationally including being a finalist in the International Artist magazine four times with a 10 page article in issue 105, Oct/Nov 2016. Marney-Rose earned Senior Signature status with the Federation of Canadian Artists in 2013. She is an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour.
