Here is an awesome opportunity to attend MISSA this summer, but at your own pace, in your medium of choice and in a shared space with other creatives. This is a variation of what you have already experienced at MISSA.

This is a special offer reserved only for artists who have attended the Mentored Residency at MISSA in the past. We wanted to support your creative practice with this unique offering of a self-directed opportunity.

The cost in this special offering is at a discounted cost that covers just your chosen studio dates (at $85 per day) AND your daily lunches (accommodation is not included in this specific deal).  Studios are open until 11 pm and you would be welcome to purchase a dinner ticket, it you would like to stay for dinner on any night during your studio time.

Shawnigan has given MISSA a new building for this summer, but your studio space will be a large classroom with a maximum of 6 artists per room.  Your space will include a work table and have access to water. The floor will need to be protected as this building has both carpeted floors and hallways. You would also be welcome to work outside.

You are responsible for bringing all of  the art supplies you will need for your art practice. There are a limited number of easels to reserve. If you are travelling and can’t bring along cumbersome items, like easels, please contact the MISSA Office to see how we can help.
