Thank you for your interest, but this workshop has been cancelled.
When making art it can be a challenge finding good reference material to work from! Figuring out anatomy, lighting, textures, developing ideas, composition etc. If you have ever found yourself feeling stuck or dealing with “Artblock” this workshop may be for you!
This two-day cross-platform workshop is open to all levels of Artists and explores both the photographic and drawing mediums. Saturday consists of learning how to use your camera to create images specifically for reference for drawing or painting and Sunday we discuss drawing techniques and using images from the previous day, produce your own realistic fine-art piece. This workshop is a fun and entertaining couple of days, a chance to explore and further cultivate your personal vision.
This course will be covering manual mode so cameras need to be able to have manual settings to fully experience this two day workshop. We will be covering “vignettes” or small compositions whereby we will explore the ideas of tones and tonality, depth, texture and compositional techniques.
I look forward to seeing you!

Boomer has been traveling the world since 2014 working as a Photographer in residence aboard expedition cruise ships, guiding in Antarctica and Svalbard. Most recently he has expanded his guiding resume to include Canada’s far north working as a Polar Bear guide. Boomer loves teaching and helping to facilitate photographers with those “ahha” moments, when a technical setting or new photo technique with the camera has the photographer off the races and excited to capture new images!Click here to read more about BOOMER JERRITT
