STEFANIE DENZ - Instructor at MISSA 2020

Stefanie Denz' paintings often include found materials as well as using traditional surfaces. She is interested in relationships between materials and how they shape the composition. Her work is narrative and subject matter can include family, friends, movie stills, media sources, architecture, dreams and daily life. She has her MFA from the University of Auckland, received a Commonwealth Scholarship, two Canada Council Grants, a BC Arts Council Grant, and has exhibited in New Zealand, Germany, USA and Canada.

She attended Transart Institute (Berlin summer residency 2014) and is completing her Art Therapy Certification. Stefanie lives on Salt Spring Island, BC and her work can be seen in Rhubarb Designs, Winchester Galleries, and in her studio.
