Ginny Conrow has been a studio potter for 50 years, her work evolving from functional stoneware to sculptural/decorative porcelain, including ten years of Cone 6 oxidation and airbrushing on large wall commissions. Her pieces combine a strong interest in form, sculpting the porcelain into out-of-round shapes that are organic, sometimes almost figurative - and surface, spraying layers of glazes to accentuate the curves, shadows and mood of each piece. Currently focusing on crystalline glazes, she uses thrown, slip cast, slab and extruded elements, stretching the porcelain to its fullest.

She has traveled and taught in New Zealand, Australia, Thailand and Bali during the past 30 years and shows her work nationally and internationally.
